We are Dedicated to Protecting the Groundwater/Watershed of New Hampshire
It’s hard to believe that everything we flush down the toilet can affect our environment, especially our water but that is the simple truth. Groundwater can come from miles away. We all live in a watershed, (an area of land that drain rain or snow into one location such as a stream, lake or wetland). These water bodies supply our drinking water, offer opportunities for recreation (swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing, anyone?), water for agriculture and manufacturing, and provide habitat to numerous plants and animals. Unfortunately, various forms of pollution, including inadequate or failed septic systems, and or abuse to the septic system can interfere with the health of our groundwater/watershed and surrounding wells. Therefore, it is important to protect the quality of our water by designing, installing and maintaining septic systems properly. All homeowners should know “What’s Flushable” and what is not. See our Tips page for details.

Septic Tank Pumping
Do not wait until your system shows signs of failure to have your septic tank pumped out. It is recommended that you have your septic tank pumped every 1 to 3 years. Sometimes more often depending on how many people are using the system, the tank capacity, the age and type of septic system you have. Hamm Septic Services Specializes in Septic Pumping & Maintenance.
- Repair and Replacement of inlet and outlet Baffles
- Filter Installation & Cleaning
- Riser Installations
- Hand & Power Snaking
- Pipe Repair
Preventative Maintenance is the best approach to ensure proper operation of your Septic System. If you have filter it should be cleaned annually. A properly maintained septic system will adequately treat your sewage. A failed septic system is unhealthy, illegal and a potential threat to the health of our Watersheds.
Septic Design
Many systems fail when they are 15 to 20 years old and most homeowners are caught off guard at the cost of a replacement system.
